Born in London, Jamie Man is a composer and conductor. Jamie has created work through VOX at the Royal Opera House, Jerwood Opera Writing Programme (Aldeburgh), L’Atelier Opéra en Création Festival d'Aix-en-Provence, Asko|Schönberg Ensemble (Amsterdam), Eric Ericson Kammarkör (Stockholm), Xenon Ensemble (Berlin), LOD Muziektheater (Ghent) and the Gulbenkian Music Foundation (Lisbon) who commissioned her first large scale opera Play. Jamie was a Sound and Music embedded composer with Mahogany Opera Group (2013-15). Jamie was first guided in conducting by Jorma Panula. Since receiving the Britten–Pears Conductors’ Bursary in 2010 working with Oliver Knussen, Jamie's conducting highlights have included the Aldeburgh Festival in concert with pianist Pierre-Laurent Aimard and cellist Jean-Guihen Queyras, appearances at Yellow Lounge (London), Arcola Theatre, La Monnaie (Brussels)/Holland Festival and De Nationale Opera & Ballet (Amsterdam)/Silbersee Opera (Ex-VocaalLAB).
