Peter Cant is an artist and theatre-maker. A graduate of the Jerwood Opera Writing Programme, Peter collaborates with artists and composers to create new theatre, opera and radio. He was librettist and director of Unborn in America at the Vaults Festival. His theatre installations Alexandria and Let’s Pretend You’re Close By with artist Krzysztof Honowski have been performed at the Barbican, Yard Theatre and Sound Acts Festival (Athens). He has collaborated with jazz composer Trish Clowes for BBC Radio 3’s Late Junction and Hear & Now. Peter’s work with young people includes Glyndebourne’s, Tycho’s Dream, dramaturgy of the Barbican-Guildhall show Unleashed and a re-imagining of Janáček’s Jenůfa with ENO Baylis.
