Lead artist (A Reasonable Adjustment)
Composer Amble Skuse’s work has been performed by ensembles including Mr McFalls Chamber, Red Note Ensemble & Rarescale, and internationally from Slovakia to China. A BBC Performing Arts Fellow (2013), she was recently awarded a BBC Alumni Fellowship. In 2018, she made What News (Guardian Folk Album of the Month) with Alasdair Roberts & David McGuinness, creating “huge, all-encompassing soundworlds that give the material a powerful new lease of life” (Songlines). She has been commissioned by the British ParaOrchestra, and is completing a PhD exploring performance, improvisation & composition using body sensors with disabled musicians.
